Over the last couple of years the City has taken many new cost saving measures.

| Collectively, these efforts will save approximately $50,000 per year for three years, then after that $130,000 per year. Unfortunately costs to provide basic city services still exceed current revenues. |

Summary of Ordinance No. 14-12
An ordinance of the City of Fort Wright, Kentucky, Imposing and Levying an Annual License Fee upon Motor Vehicles, Including Automobiles, Trucks, Motorcycles, and Recreational Vehicles, owned by Residents or regularly operated within the City of Fort Wright, Kentucky for the privilege of using City Streets.
The proposed fee is $35 per vehicle.

Summary of Ordinance No. 15-12
An ordinance of the City of Fort Wright, Kentucky, Amending Fort Wright Code of Ordinances, Chapter 110, Section 110.26 to raise the Occupational License Fee charged by the City from 1% to 1.15% of all compensation earned by an employee in the City.

Summary of Ordinance No. 16-12
An ordinance of the City of Fort Wright, Kentucky, Amending Fort Wright Code of Ordinances Chapter 116, Section 116.03 and 116.04, to impose an increased insurance premium license tax on all Insurance Companies engaging in the business of insurance within the City of Fort Wright, increasing from 6% to 8%.
Increase in fees imposed, levied and collected for the Insurance Premium Taxes, under the provisions of this subchapter, shall be used for the purpose of expenses and construction, repair, and maintenance of city roadways and streets and related uses, and for administering and enforcing the motor insurance premium tax fee.
