James A. Ramage Civil War Museum presents Battery Hooper Days

Saturday, August 21st ~ Noon to 5 pm
Sunday, August 22nd ~ Noon to 4 PM    

 

 

Join us for a celebration of our community working together for our mutual protection and the formation of America's first African American military unit, "The Cincinnati Black Brigade".

Music, horses, field hospital complex, ladies fashion, museum, speakers, cannon firing (dedicate a cannon firing to a remembrance, event or cause for a donation of $20).

Event includes Horses, music, military camps, field hospital complex, speakers, huge book and art sale and much more.  You can dedicate a Cannon firing to a remembrance, celebration or cause for twenty dollar donation ($20). This family event is free, with donations encouraged as the museum is a self-supporting, all-volunteer organization.

Carpooling is encouraged. Free parking is available at the South Hills Civic Club two blocks away (10 Bluegrass Ave.) with dropoff and pickup open at Battery Hooper Park. Handicapped parking is available.

Regular hours for the Ramage Museum are Friday and Saturday 10 am - 5 pm, Sunday Noon - 5pm  Admission is free with donations encouraged.  For tours beyond the regular hours call 850-322-8838.
