Cooling Centers Open in Kenton County - Thursday August 24th & Friday August 25th
Kenton County will be opening two cooling centers, which will be operational from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday August 24th and Friday August 25th. The location of those centers are listed below:
Kenton County Administration Building, Riedlin Schott Room, 1840 Simon Kenton Way, Suite 2600, Covington, KY.
Independence Senior Center, 2001 Jack Woods Parkway, Independence KY.
PLEASE NOTE:
The community cooling centers are intended to help provide temporary relief during the forecasted “Heat Advisory / Excessive Heat Warning”. These cooling centers will provide an air-conditioned building that will be open to the public during the specified dates and times listed above. These centers are NOT overnight shelters, and will not be providing meals or drinks, other than the publicly available water fountains.
